Russia Vs. Ukraine, “David’s Commitment to fight the Giant”#4

David’s Commitment to Fight the Giant

Commitment, commitment, commitment, is one of those words that people in charge mouth but usually never act on what they say they are committed to. It is an agreement or pledge to do something in the future. It is a battle between good and evil. Russia’s leader is evil; he committed to killing citizens(Great article on Grief), including males, females, and children, thinking he was correct. On the other side, we have a leader committed to not giving an inch of his land to the enemy.

The giant was committed to wiping Israel off the face of the earth. The success of his endeavor was his commitment. Do you stand through all adversity, or do you cut and run? Israel didn’t understand David’s promise to kill the giant and liberate Israel from being conquered. Primarily, the word commit is used biblically as adultery, but in two scriptures, it shows a different meaning: the commitment that changed history.

  • This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightiest war a good warfare – I Timothy 1:18
  • And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also2 Timothy 2:2

And David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying, what shall be done to the man that kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? And the people answered him after this manner, saying, so shall it be done to the man that kills him. And Eliab, his eldest brother, heard when he spoke unto the men, and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, why come thou down hither? And with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride and the naughtiness of thy heart, for thou art come down that thou might see the battle. And David said, what have I now done? Is there not a cause? And he turned from him toward another and spoke in the same manner: the people answered him again after the former. David Kills Goliath And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him. And David said to Saul, let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine -1 Samuel 17:26-32

David asked his brothers what would happen to the one that killed the giant, taking away Israel’s reproach (disgrace). Who is this giant that defies the army of living God (not a dead one!). His brothers mocked him, saying, ” you ass, who are you? You take care of a few sheep, and we are here fighting.” David stood his ground, and somehow, someone told king Saul, and Saul sent for him. David then told Saul let no one fear this giant. I will go and kill him. The important point is who told him he could kill the giant?

This is where God’s right-hand man got involved; remember, the Spirit of God was upon David. This Spirit told him he could kill the giant. The allegory here is Jesus, who now, after Pentecost, is the Christ, called God’s right-hand man (the Head Coach, a Superman on steroids!). He delivered God’s information to people that his Spirit was upon or in referring to today. He is God’s messenger and fighter for all believers worldwide!

And Saul said to David, thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. Said unto Saul, thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

And Saul armed David with his armor, and he put a helmet of brass upon his head; also, he armed him with a coat of mail. And David girded his sword upon his armor, and he assayed to go, for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, and I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him. And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine -1 Samuel 17:33-40

Saul looked at the five senses and compared David to the giant, telling him he couldn’t fight the giant. David told Saul, I killed a lion and a bear. They tried to take a lamb, caught them by the beard, and killed them, and will do the same to this big dude. God delivered me out of the paw of the lion and the bear (God’s right-hand man deliveries). What chance does this giant have fighting the living God!

Saul came up with a plan to arm David, including heavy body armor, a brass helmet, and a sword. David decided this was bull. He couldn’t move because of the weight, again who delivered the message, God’s right-hand man. He took off the armor, took his walking stick and slingshot, and picked five smooth stones. David entered the battle to confront and kill the giant (you guessed it right, God’s right-hand man was in David’s head!).

Next is an epic battle between good and evil. Today the same is happening with Russian Vs. Ukraine. The giant Goliath was well equipped with all the latest gadgets of war. David was armed with a slingshot and five stones. His gadgets of war were God’s right-hand man who was in his head!

Finally, we will get to the battle; what you have read or heard about this battle will not be what you read in the next post. God’s right-hand man gave me the real scoop!
