Most of my posts are longer than the allotted space on most social media sites. Most of you know to click on the picture or website address in each post or Click on “The Thrill” to view all, so you can read the best from The Head Coach, who is now God’s right-hand man
Actions have consequences; all mouth and no actions, also have consequences!
“The men of Israel and Judah arose, shouted, and pursued the Philistines until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron. And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents. And David took the head of the Philistine and brought it to Jerusalem, but he put his armor in his tent. And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents. And David took the head of the Philistine and brought it to Jerusalem, but he put his armor in his tent” – 1 Samuel 17:52-54
David spoke and acted in a positive way that motivated the armies of Israel and put fear into the Philistine armies. He acted upon what God’s right-hand man told him to speak and what to do. David didn’t carry it out in a whimp way, but with all the intensity that he could muster, that’s why it was successful.
Where are the Davids today that would take on the Russia and Ukraine conflict and end it? It doesn’t have to be a person from Ukraine but it has to be a believer that God’s right-hand man could communicate with to deliver the will of God in the situation, and then believe what they were told to bring impossible to pass
“And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing, and dancing, to meet king, Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of music. And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul, hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousand. And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousand, and to me, they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom? And Saul eyed David from that day and forward. Saul Turns against David, And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand. And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided his presence twice. And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul” – 1 Samuel 18:6-12
Saul spoke and acted in a negative way that had negative consequences for Israel and the world after one of the greatest victories the world had ever seen!
He was now trying to destroy the man that saved and liberated Israel, one would think he would act differently as the king
